Meet Holly Whitfield,

Holly Whitfield is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to children, adolescents and adults navigating a variety of mental health concerns. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and life transitions, offering a supportive and collaborative approach tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Holly believes that effective mental health care begins with creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. She takes time to build strong therapeutic relationships and works closely with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans that may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, supportive therapy techniques, and practical coping strategies. Her approach is warm, approachable, and grounded in the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all. With a background in healthcare (spanning more than 20 years!)that includes caring for individuals during some of life’s most vulnerable moments, Holly has developed a deep appreciation for the importance of empathy, trust, and connection in treatment. She is passionate about helping reduce the stigma surrounding mental health care and strives to make seeking support feel comfortable and empowering for her clients. Holly’s philosophy centers on the idea that healing is a process, unique to every one of us. Her goal is to help clients feel more balanced, hopeful, and equipped to move forward with greater clarity and self-understanding.

A Note from Holly

Someone once told me that mental health is learning to navigate the water during changing tides. Some days feel calm, others feel overwhelming, but with the right support, tools, and self-awareness, you learn how to steady yourself through both. Progress is not linear and it isn’t about perfection — it’s about building resilience and creating calmer waters, even during life’s storms. I strive to provide compassionate and personalized mental health care using a calm and supportive approach. Offering evidence-based psychiatric services for children, adolescents and adults, I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life’s everyday stressors with confidence and clarity. My goal is to create a safe space where healing feels approachable, collaborative, and empowering.

My Approach

I utilize an approach that combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management when appropriate, supportive therapy techniques, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client’s needs and goals. My treatment style incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, and trauma-informed care principles. I also emphasize the importance of sleep, stress management, self-care, healthy routines, and emotional resilience as part of long-term mental wellness. Our first session together will have an atmosphere that feels curious, safe, open, and reassuring.
