After 20 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Kurt traded his uniform for a calling just as purpose-driven: Reshaping the way our community experiences mental health care. Armed with a B.S. in Business Administration (Averett University) and dual master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling (University of the Cumberlands), he helped launch All Points North Counseling Services to make compassionate, evidence-based therapy accessible and transformative for every client who walks through our doors.
Kurt plays a key leadership role at All Points North Counseling Services. As co-owner, Board Treasurer, and Board Secretary, he helps guide the strategic and operational direction of the practice. He also serves as a Board-Certified Clinical Supervisor, offering supervision to provisionally licensed therapists who are working toward full licensure. His commitment to mentorship, ethical practice, and high-quality care helps shape both the team and the larger mission of APNC.

Kurt's Journey
Kurt Droste, LPC, is a licensed mental health therapist who helps individuals move beyond daily survival toward a sense of wholeness and stability. With a background shaped by real-life experience and a deep respect for the complexity people carry, Kurt offers therapy that feels both down-to-earth and deeply effective. He and his wife co-founded All Points North Counseling Services to provide accessible, meaningful mental health support for those ready to grow and evolve.
Kurt specializes in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, trauma, and overwhelming internal pressure—the kind of emotional strain that often goes unnoticed on the outside. With extensive training in trauma-focused and evidence-based therapies, he creates a space where every part of you—confident, conflicted, quiet, or driven—can be seen and supported.
Kurt’s clinical expertise includes EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). His approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in genuine care. Whether supporting trauma recovery, treating anxiety, or addressing long-standing patterns, Kurt tailors each session to foster greater inner alignment and self-trust.
Therapeutic Style
Sessions with Kurt are free of busywork and rigid formulas. Each conversation is shaped by what’s most meaningful in your life and unfolds at your pace. Known for his calm, thoughtful presence, strategic insight, and touch of humor, Kurt builds a steady therapeutic relationship that helps growth feel both manageable and real.
Clinical Philosophy
Healing, for Kurt, begins with becoming more fully yourself. He helps clients move beyond symptom relief or surface-level fixes, guiding them toward integrated, resilient, and authentic lives. His work emphasizes long-term emotional growth, deeper alignment with values, and a stronger connection to one’s identity.
